Definitions

·      Fossilization- the remains (or an impression) of a plant or animal that existed in a past geological age and that has been excavated from the soil

·      Erosion- The breakdown and removal of things (Earth’s surface)

·      Weathering- breaks things down (Earth’s surface)

·      Evolution- when an organism changes over many generations, it might be better suited to live, or more likely to die.

·      Extinction- is that an animal or plant totally disappears from the planet

·      Geosphere- the Earth's outer layer crust or surface. Made up of minerals, rocks and landforms.

·      Biosphere- the sphere or area around the planet Earth where life exists.
