Top Ten Fossil Finds

Today in class you are going to be researching some of the most important (your opinion) fossil finds here on Earth. Here are the expectations;

  • You will make a foldable using a piece of paper I provide for you
  • Using the Ipads, you will search the web for 'important' fossil finds creating a 'Top Ten List'
  • For each of the fossil finds you must include the following information;   
                            1. What exactly was found.
                            2. Where was the discovering found.. (country, state, mountains, water, desert)
                            3. The date it was found.
                            4. Why is this considered an 'important' find? (2-3 sentences)
                            5. Sketch of the 'find'

Timeline of Earth's History

After watching the documentary on 'The History of Earth' you have an idea that the world we live in today took a while to form. What I would like you to do is create a picture timeline using the information that you had written down as well as other research that you have/will complete.

Expectations

* Create a timeline using numbers, words, and pictures
* Include only major events in Earth's history
* Color any pictures (You may print pictures out AT HOME)
