Research Paper on The Periodic Table

Students are going to write a research paper with the focus on "What is the Periodic Table?"
Some questions that should be answered in the paper included the following;
  1. What is the Periodic Table?
  2. Why was it created?
  3. How has the table changed over time?
  4. Explain what groups are? Explain periods on the periodic table.
  5. What is on the Element key?
  6. Why is Hydrogen not located with the Noble gases?
  7. Compare and contrast the families on the table.

Students will answer the questions on a separate piece of paper for their information research. Sources must be included with each question.

After their research students will write the paper about the information they found. Students can use heading titles before each paragraph in the paper to establish organization. The last page of the paper will be the Bibliography (their sources).

Paper is due on Friday, March 2.
