A Test WELL DONE!!

The sixth grade did such a wonderful job on our first test over the scientific method!! Great job! We will continue to use this method throughout the year..

Our First TEST!!!! Tuesday!!

I have penciled in our first test for the upcoming Tuesday. We will be having a review game on Monday. The test's focus is on the scientific method. Students need to understand what are the steps in the method. Ask them for their vocabulary cards to study. They all have these.

The Scientific Method

During this week in class the students were able to see the scientific method in class. "The Mythbusters" is a great way for the students to watch the scientific method in action. We broke down each step during class. So if you would like to have your students practice even more, have them watch Mythbusters on the television and write down the steps. We are going to have our first test next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Practice, practice, practice

Computer Assignment

Welcome to the blog and your FIRST of many computer/technology assignments. For the first assignment you are to create a powerpoint presentation about yourself. We will be creating many powerpoints throughout the year and I want to make sure you know how to do this. Here are the expectations:

* Here are the SPECIFIC slides I want you to create for credit..
* ALL slides must have a colored background and atleast one picture
* First slide is your title slide. Include your name, homeroom, and date on this 1st slide.
* Slides 2-6 should have the titles ----
- Family History (brothers, sisters, mom, dad, or guardians, any pets)
- Hobbies
- Favorite Music
- Places you'd like to visit
- Resources (make a list of where you copied your pictures from... (Yahoo, etc...)

Once you are complete raise your hand (using our signals) and I will come and check your work. After I have checked your work you may get onto any EDUCATIONAL game site. Study Island, funschool, etc...
